Michael Butler, Store Owner
Michael Butler has over 30 years experience in corporate marketing and public relations, including founding and managing two successful public relations and marketing firms. The firms included Butler Ackermann Public Relations in Knoxville, TN and Butler & Butler Marketing and Public Relations, Inc. in Columbia, SC. Butler Ackermann was named to Inc. magazine’s list of 500 fastest-growing privately held companies.

Through these firms, Mike developed client relationships with Fortune 500 companies, national trade associations, government agencies and numerous small businesses. With both firms, Butler was responsible for all facets of operations from business development and client retention to personnel, hiring, supervision and administration, financial administration and vendor and community relationships.

Mike was also chief speechwriter for the president of Phillips Petroleum Company (now ConocoPhillips) and Manager of Media Relations for the Tennessee Valley Authority.

A former newspaper reporter and Associated Press writer, Mike has been recognized with numerous awards in the public relations field including Practitioner of the Year by the Volunteer Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). He is a member of the Public Information Committee of the Charlotte Rotary Club. His franchise store, PRstore 100, was recognized as the franchise system’s Store of the Year in 2005 based on sales.

Katie concentrates on getting to know a client’s business, the competitive environment, past marketing activities and other key information – then develops an effective marketing program incorporating PRstore’s products and expertise. Long after the sale, Katie remains a member of the client’s team, ready to assist in meeting ongoing marketing needs.
